  1. Determine the eBook format(s) supported by your reader. The three formats we support (PDF, epub, and mobi) cover all devices we’ve come across. If your reader offers both epub and mobi, use epub—it looks better.
  2. Download the appropriate format electronic book from our store to your local computer.
  3. For a PDF, you can open it using acrobat reader.
  4. For a Kindle or a Sony device, use the USB cable that came with it. It will appear on your computer as a mounted file system.
    1. You’ll need to find where books are stored in your reader’s filesystem. On the Sony 505, for example, they’re in database> media> books
    2. Drag and drop (or cp, for the hardcore among you) the eBook file into the appropriate folder on your device
    3. Eject the eBook reader and unplug the USB cable. Your book will appear in your reader’s list of books.
